Reviews are everywhere.

But the most honest ones don't come from people who carry a bag for two weeks. They come from people who use it every day — in the rain, at markets, in the office, at kindergarten, on the road.

This isn't a marketing piece. It's an honest account: what do we carry ourselves? What does our family use? What did we give to friends — and what do those products look like after years of daily use?

Laptop Bag Camel Nubuck: 5 Years. Every Day. No Compromise.

The first prototype of our Camel Nubuck Laptop Bag in Viridis® was made over 5 years ago — before we even had a logo. Wojtek, one of our founders, has used it every single day since.

Not occasionally. Not for special occasions. Every day.

Trade fairs, commuting, meetings, travel in all weather. The bag has been through all of it.

Sometimes denim transfers onto the nubuck — that happens. But a damp cloth with a little grey soap, 15 minutes to dry, and the bag looks like it's had a reset. No marks, no discolouration, no material loss.

At the Klimaty fair in Gdańsk, several visitors asked what the bag was made from. When they heard it was over 4 years old, the reaction was always the same:

"You can't tell. It looks better than my leather one."

Wojtek plans to keep using it for at least another 4 years. At this point, there's no reason to doubt that.

What this bag actually looks like after years of daily use — honestly, not just the highlights — is covered in our article 4 Years of Daily Use: What Really Happens to a Vegan Laptop Bag.

Crossbody Bag Black Matt: Two Prototypes. Two Years. Still Going.

The first Crossbody Bag prototype was made over two years ago in Anna's workshop in Malbork — hand-stitched, in Viridis® Black Matt. Two pieces were made.

One went to a close friend of the brand. The other to a beach volleyball player.

Both are still using their bags every day. No repairs, no complaints.

When we brought one of them to the Klimaty fair in Gdańsk as an example of two years of daily use, the reaction was clear:

"That looks better than bags made from traditional leather."

This isn't a coincidence. Viridis® is a material built for intensive use — not for display. More about what it actually is and why we chose it in our article What Is Viridis®? The Plant-Based Leather from Europe.

Laptop Case: The Whole Family Tests — Each in Their Own Way.

Some people treat their things carefully. Others put them through genuine stress tests.

Our family has both types — and everyone uses our Laptop Cases.

Wojtek has been protecting his MacBook 16" in the same case for 3 years. Sometimes the corners are slightly bent from being used in every possible condition — in a backpack, travelling, daily commutes. But the main function — protection — works exactly as it did on day one.

Here's the honest version: if you use a case intensively and don't always store it carefully, the edges can wave slightly over time. That doesn't affect protection at all. And if you take reasonable care of it, you'll barely notice any difference after years of use.

How this product comes to life — from the workshop to the finished piece — is described in our article From Plant to Your Hands: How a Plant-Based Bag Is Actually Made.

Shopper Bag: The Bag a Customer Came Back For.

In December 2025, we showed our new Shopper Bag for the first time at the Klimaty fair in Gdańsk — a single prototype, not yet for sale.

A customer saw it in Dark Brown Nubuck and said immediately: "I have to have this."

We explained it was our only piece and we couldn't sell it. She was disappointed — but she understood. Later she came back with her daughter, who is vegan and spent a long time looking at our other models too.

A few days after the fair, Wojtek's phone rang — unknown number. It was the same customer. She had kept his business card and was asking whether the bag was still available.

We decided to sell it to her. Bartosz drove to Gdańsk personally to deliver it.

Two weeks later, when the first production run went on sale, the first Shopper Bag order came in — also from Gdańsk. It was her family.

The Shopper Bag is available in two material versions: Viridis® Dark Brown Nubuck — more structured, stands on its own — and Vegea® Black Matt — softer, more fluid, moulds to the body. Both were developed in close collaboration between our designer Kinga and Anna in Malbork.

Lunch Bag: Daily. Three Meals. And a Yogurt Incident.

Wojtek's wife works as a nursery teacher. Every day she takes 2 to 3 fully packed containers with her — breakfast, lunch, a snack. The Washpapa® Lunch Bag goes with her. Every day. In all weather.

Then there's the story of a friend we gave a black Lunch Bag to over two years ago. He used it every day — until a yogurt container opened inside. He didn't dare clean it. He was worried about damaging the material.

When he heard that Washpapa® can be rinsed under running water, he was skeptical.

After cleaning: no trace. No discolouration. No deformation. The bag looked brand new — after two full years of daily use.

Daily. With real food. For years.

🌱 Did you know? Washpapa® is built on long cellulose fibres cross-linked with synthetic latex — a structural principle that nature has used in plant cell walls for millions of years. That's what makes it simultaneously lightweight, water-resistant and washable. Exactly what you need in a lunch bag that has to work in real life.

How to clean Washpapa® and Viridis® properly — step by step — is covered in our article How to Clean a Vegan Bag: Guide for Viridis® and Washpapa®.

Wallet: The Product Our Son Calls Our Best.

"It's your best product. Who carries a big wallet anymore?"

That's how Wojtek's son describes it — and he should know. He's been carrying his Viridis® wallet in his jeans pocket every day for over four years.

In the family and among friends, almost everyone has one of our wallets — the first prototypes weren't quite ready to sell, so we gave them away. Today, years later, every single one is still in use. No deformation, no cracking, no stretched card slots.

At the Klimaty fair, one visitor looked closely at an older model and said:

"That looks better than mine and mine is real leather."

The wallet holds up to 10 cards, ID documents and folded notes — at roughly 1 cm thick with 7 cards. No coin pocket, no snap closure. For anyone who wants to travel light and stay organised. Available in Black Matt, Dark Brown Matt and Camel Nubuck — all in Viridis®, all with a 100% organic cotton lining.

FAQ

Are these really your own experiences — or marketing stories?

Both would be possible. But: the Laptop Bag we're writing about has been in daily use for over 5 years — without a logo, because it was still a prototype. The Crossbody prototypes are carried by friends of the brand who aren't employees. And the Lunch Bag was a gift, not a sale. These aren't staged tests.

What happens if a Plant Inside product gets damaged?

It depends on the material and the type of damage. Surface marks on Viridis® come off with a damp cloth and grey soap. Washpapa® can be rinsed under running water. Structural changes after years of intensive use — like slightly curved edges on a Laptop Case — don't affect function.

How long do Plant Inside products actually last?

Our own experience: the Laptop Bag has been in daily use for over 5 years. Wallets and Crossbody Bags after 4 and 2+ years respectively, with no structural issues. These aren't lab tests — this is real everyday life.

Which product works best for daily use?

It depends on what you carry. Laptop and documents → Laptop Bag. Just the essentials, hands free → Crossbody. Several meals → Lunch Bag. Minimalist wallet → Wallet. Everything in one bag → Shopper Bag.

Are there any negatives?

Yes — and we'll name them. With the Laptop Case, the corners can wave slightly with intensive backpack use. Light nubuck shades like Camel pick up everyday dirt slightly faster than matt versions — but they clean just as easily. No product is perfect. But ours deliver what they promise.

Can I buy Plant Inside products as a gift?

Yes — and many of our products were given as gifts before they even existed as retail items. Prototypes, test pieces, first production runs. The friend's Lunch Bag was a gift. The family wallets too. That's not a coincidence: these are products we stand behind ourselves.

The Conclusion No Number Can Replace

Five years. Every day. Rain, trade fairs, kindergarten, commutes, yogurt incidents.

These aren't lab results. This is everyday life — our everyday life, our family's, our friends'.

Plant-based material from corn, wine waste and kraft paper. Hand-stitched in Poland. No animal ingredients, no PVC.

And still — or precisely because of that — bags that last.
